Focus for iOS 15: My favorite modes to increase productivity
Focus might be my favorite new iOS feature
After a gloss over iPhone upgrades this year, it will leave you feeling uninspired.
Apple announced iOS 15 back in June and finally released it, along with iPadOS 15 and watchOS 8, this month. macOS 12 Monterey is due soon. One of the most popular features is Focus.
Focus is an expansion to Apple’s Do Not Disturb function. It enables users to set different DND presets, such as for school or work or sleep. Focus modes can be turned on manually, or automatically, based on daily habits. For example, my Work and School focuses turn on while I’m at both locations.
Any Focus mode can be customized or edited to only allow notifications from certain people, apps, or have automations added.
It’s a really intelligent and useful feature. Here are my individual Focus modes.
