My Xbox Series S — One Week Later
In less than a week, it has become my favorite gaming system that I’ve owned
I’m a lifelong PlayStation user who didn’t feel inclined to purchase the new PlayStation 5 console. So I bought an Xbox Series S.
Three things led me here: the PlayStation 5 is big and ugly while the Xbox Series S is not, the Xbox is budget-friendly, and I really wanted to play Forza Horizon 5 (which is a great game, by the way).
A week ago, my Xbox was delivered.
I’ve never actually owned an Xbox before. I’ve owned every PlayStation from the first one to the PlayStation 4; every Nintendo console from the GameCube to the Switch (except for the Wii U). In high school, I would go to a friend’s house to play his Xbox 360. The controllers were weird, ran on batteries, and everything felt inferior to every gaming experience I’ve ever had.
Well, now I own an Xbox and my mind has been changed. Let’s break it down.
