Should you buy a new Apple Watch? You should.
Yes, you should.
It’s September and Apple’s eighth edition of the Apple Watch is finally here. Under the new lineup, there’s the regular Apple Watch Series 8, Apple Watch SE to replace the Series 3 that Apple still sold, and the rugged, new Apple Watch Ultra.
The Apple Watch Series 8 received few, but essential upgrades. For instance, now your watch can sense when you’re in a crash and call emergency services if you don’t respond.
It does have the same body of the Apple Watch Series 7, but is it worth buying?
There’s no bad time to buy an Apple Watch. In fact, they’re very useful. Mine helps me exercise, now reminds me to take my medications, and reminds your friends how much cooler you are.
My previous watch was the Apple Watch Series 5, which had a smaller display size, ever-so slightly. Although, my Series 5 was the smaller of the two, 40mm, while my Series 8 is 45mm.
If your wrist is big enough, get the bigger watch. You’ll thank me.
As I’ve mentioned before, one of the newest features in watchOS 9 is the ability to add a medication log. As someone who takes medication for epilepsy, this is a handy feature. I also haven’t found a third-party app that works well for what I need it for.
