Film continues to evolve with streaming taking over the majority of the industry. After the COVID-19 pandemic took down theaters, attendance is lower than ever.

Plus, HBO Max has stopped streaming movies in-app during their theatrical release.

Most of the following are available to stream whenever but two of them have yet to hit theaters.

These are the best movies of 2022.

Emancipation (drama/action)

Will Smith is one of the greatest actors of all-time. I don’t care if he’s in a comedy (Fresh Prince of Bel-Air), a serious based-on-a-true-story event in which he plays a doctor (Concussion), an Aladdin live-action remake or Shark Tale. He’s an incredible actor.

Well, he’s done it again. Emancipation follows the story of Peter (Smith), a slave, as he flees a plantation in the south. Based on a true story, he battles the harsh Louisiana swamp and vicious bounty hunters as he fights to go north.
